Devin Canaday is an engaging storyteller and exceptional at cultivating relationships. He has a passion for mentoring and coaching, with broad experience as an accomplished engineer and educator. Being a former collegiate athlete, Devin is motivated by team success and seeing others grow. Throughout his career, Devin has gained an extensive background in facilitating cross-functional teams, as well as working with individuals.

About Devin Canaday
Devin Canaday is a dynamic individual who has managed to excel in multiple facets of his career. Currently, he serves as the Eastern Region Manager for early career employees in Northrop Grumman’s Professional Development Program (PDP). In this capacity, Devin is responsible for nearly 200 employees with backgrounds primarily in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems and Cyber Security. During his 11+ year tenure with Northrop, Devin has designed, helped manufacture, and managed program efforts in support of Northrop’s world-leading and cutting-edge radar systems. He has been responsible for developing several “Company First” innovations and been the recipient of such awards as the Black Engineer of the Year Award’s Modern Day Technology Leader.
Mr. Canaday has a strong passion for STEM education. He takes advantage of every opportunity to give back to the next generation. Formerly, he held a role at Johns Hopkins University as an Educational Instructor. While there, Devin worked with primary school students introducing them to STEM careers. He also developed and facilitated professional development workshops and training for teachers.
Originally from Williamsburg, Virginia, Devin grew up in a single parent household and served as a role model to his younger siblings. His pursuit of academic excellence in the classroom garnered him a free education from the University of Virginia, where he graduated with a Bachelors in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. He continued on to pursue his Master’s in Technical Project Management. In concurrence with his academics, the dedication and hard work he put in on the track not only solidified his national ranking while in high school, but resulted in him being named Team Captain for Virginia’s Varsity Men’s Track team.
